The Grantsville 5K

We spent the 4th of July this year in Grantsville, Utah. This is the hometown of some of our Bartlett cousins. Every year for the past few years Grantsville hosts a 5K race on the 4th of July. The race is in honor of the late Ray Barrus. Aunt Sheryl organized our family participation and we had a total of 9 runners. There were a total of 108 runners and so we formed almost 10 percent of the total field. The run started at ten in the morning on some desolate road just outside of town. The main part of the race took us back into town and down main street. Everyone finished and several of us took home trophies, medals, and ribbons. It was a fun day! Uncle Steve took most of the pictures.
