The first half of Thursday was spent on the airplane or lost in space.
We actually lost 4 hours due to the time change and finally arrived at the St. Thomas airport around 2 pm.
As soon as we exited the airplane and entered the Carribean air it was obvious we were in a different place.
The air was warm and slightly sticky.
Our total flight time was probably around 8 or 9 hours with a little time spent for stops in Dallas and Miami.
We were all feeling a little tired but also excited to finally have arrived at our final destination.
We grabbed our luggage, arranged our rental car, and began our search for
Bolongo Bay which would be our residence for the week.
The traffic around the airport was very congested and it took us some time to travel the five miles to our place of residence.
However, the local islanders, the huge cruise ships, and the aqua blue water that bordered the right side of the road kept our minds active.
We finally arrived at Bolongo Bay and settled into our rooms around 4 pm.

The weather was still nice and so we headed down to the beach to spend the remaining day light hours.
Kacie and I grabbed some masks and did a little exploring of the under water life close to the shore.
Others grabbed a bite to eat at the restuarant on the beach called Iggy's.
It was a very relaxing evening after spending the last half a day on the airplane.
We were all tired though and Bryant was the first to expire and actually fell asleep on our front room sofa just after 7 pm.
The rest of us lasted a couple of more hours and retired for the day just after 9 pm.
This was unusually early hour for us this week but we wanted to be well rested for our first full day of fun in the water and the sun.
