Keri's Corn Chowder

2 cups boiling water
2 cups chopped potatoes
1/2 cups carrot slices
1/2 cups chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 17 oz. can of cream style corn
1 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp of pepper
1/4 cup of margarine
1/4 cup of flour
2 cup of milk
1/2 to 1 cup of grated parmesan cheese

1) Add water to potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, salt, & pepper
2) Cover and simmer for about 10 minutes -- do not drain
3) Seperately make white sauce with margarine, flour, & milk
4) Add cheese stirring until melted
5) Add corn and undrained vegtables
6) Heat but do not boil - garnish with parsley

White Sauce
1) Heat margarine over low heat until melted
2) Blend in flour, salt, and pepper
3) Cook over low heat stirring until smooth and bubbly
4) Remove from heat and stir in milk
5) Heat again until boiling and stirring constantly
