Salmon Fishing in the Sound

Bryant and I went Salmon fishing together for the first time on August 22nd, 2005.   We woke up at 4:30 in the morning and met up with our friend Jim Wight who would be our host for the day.   He owned the boat and has been fishing in the Puget Sound for years.   We drove to Everett together and dropped the boat into the Puget Sound around 6 am.  The water was calm and the sky was clear and it was obvious it was going to be a nice day.   We caught our first fish within minutes of being out on the boat.  We fished until 11 am and brought home five Pink Salmon for the day.   They all weighed between three and four pounds.  We lost another four or five because of inexperience and Bryant was forced to throw back one King Salmon since they were not in season where we were fishing.
